Well I have yet to find anything impressive about Fialas game. Granted he’s only played twice in a Wild sweater, he’s very unpolished and quite frankly looks nothing more than just another prospect. Guess today’s tilt might be a great time to show Minnesota fans something. If he can’t produce on the Staal, Zucker line, not sure he can produce at all.

It will be strange to see former Wild favorite Granny in that putrid mustard yellow, but it is what it is I guess.

Solid game by Stalock. Certainly a winnable game but atleast a point

Great write up Dan. Keep 'em coming.

Another fun game to watch last night. I really expected a letdown from the Wild from the drop of the puck. Maybe it was Vonn's bare shoulder that got the team excited and playing with energy. I was happy to see that the Wild at least got a point from the game. When the Preds tied it up with only a 4-5 minutes left in the game, I was expecting the same thing that happened the night before, except for the shoe being on the other foot. And good on the entire crowd for booing when the Preds D would take naps behind the net and not move the plays forward. Forsberg is one fun player to watch!

As for the Wild, JEE has finally broken out of his cocoon. It looks like he is one of the stronger players on his feet when he is out there. I counted at least 3 times players lined him up, and they just seemed to bounce right off of him. Glad to see he just might not be a complete bust. Donato has also been a breathe of fresh air. I hope he keeps that chip on his should for about 15 more seasons! Fiala, well, just not sure what I think of him yet. I have seen flashes, but no consistency yet...which is something we Wild fans are kind of used to from the likes of Coyle and Nino.

Team has gotten me somewhat excited for the chance to make the playoffs. Never jumped off board, but have also learned not to hold my breathe. I'm just happy that we get to watch good hockey right now.

At the liberty of sounding like a broken record, I don't like Stalock and i don't like him starting big games. (granted they're all big games at this point) I've said it before and i'll say it again, I don't like his style of play, leaves his net to often and quite frankly, he's just not that good with the puck when he does leave the crease. ie. the penalty he took in his last start for playing the puck outside the trapezoid, which he was woefully close to doing again last night on at least 2 occasions. Solid or not, he's a fly by the seat of his pants and somewhat spastic liability IMO. Dubynk has been on fire lately and I for one say ride him til the wheels fall off.

Now obviously I can't say whether the Wild win last night with Dubnyk in net, but i think he would have given them a much better chance, especially in the shoot out.

Not blaming Stalock for the loss, but at this point they are still clawing and scratching to hold on to that last Wild card spot, this is clearly Dubnyks team and he should be starting every contest until they have solidified a playoff spot.

I was actually laughing during the game last night. And I think it was at the 2 times he almost left the trapezoid to play the puck. I was saying outload "Gump must be having a coronary right now" watching those plays.

LOL, you would have been absolutely correct!!!! He just makes me nervous when he leaves the crease. There were other plays that made me tightly close my eyes because i thought his puck movement was going to cause a giveaway goal...
